Amazed, treasured, relationships...... Blood donation drive
Been having pretty interesting 'yamcha' sessions with a few of the members that had 'booked' me, especially with Jireh, and honestly, I'm amazed with what we can simply talk and share about. We share nearly about the same past, and have some common interests and personality traits together. You're such a blessing bro. :)
The most memorable thing he said to me was,
Jireh: Hey bro, if you ever want to start a church somewhere, call me straight ok? I'll be your right hand, second man. Just like Keith Tay.
Kevin: O.o WOAH? Dude, not that fast lah!!
Hence, I've been thinking lately.. who am I to him? Who am I to those people that I love and treasure the most?
Lately my mind and thoughts are very focused on relationships with people. Can't wait for Pst. Kong to come on the 22nd-24th of May, as he will coincidentally talk about the topic on "Relationship". I've even asked God for some signs and words that I want HIm to speak to me directly regarding this issue.
Maybe, I just wanna say, for those who are really treasuring me right now, I'm gonna treasure them back too. My favor is definitely upon them. Kinda able to relate exactly how God feels too. He wants His children to love and treasure Him, just as He has loved and treasured them always. Guess you could say I'm pretty picky on who I want to maintain and grow my relationship with and discarding those who I feel we are just merely 'friends' and nothing more beyond that. Even Pst. Pat Mesiti said, "You can't be friends with EVERYBODY". I'd rather have 1 true and real friend, than a 100 superficial ones. :)
Anyways later on at 2pm, I'll be donating my blood for the very first time in my whole life. Can't imagine I've got the chance to do so during my stay here. Also prayed for my blood to be clean and be used to, who knows, save a life? :)
Tired. I better sleep, or else I can't donate my blood! :S

Burning the midnight oil...to Little Red Riding Hood
I find the report quite an interesting one indeed.. especially knowing the problems they are facing in the hotel, and also the fact that half of the hotel staffs are actually Filipinos! Other than that, apparently 'cold wars' are pretty common and usual there among the staffs. Hmm..
As I'm writing this quick blog right now, I'm able to keep myself awake, thanks to some *ehems* snacks, such as a yogurt bar, and also the BBQ Curry Flavored Twisties! (I'd prefer the Sour Cream or the Tomato flavored one) and a glass of 100 Plus. Not a very interesting late night snack combo, but its good enough to keep me awake and energized.
Other than that, I've attended 2 CG's this week, and played guitar for both of them. On Thursday was E12 (my CG) and on Friday was E30+E45 (Hazel Saw's CGs). I guess I'm really proud to say, that my guitar skills now are seriously much better now compared to 5 months back. In my most honest opinion, having a good guitarist who is able to flow and build up the atmosphere together is superbly essential to bring God's presence to come into the CG to minister upon the peoples' hearts (and certainly of course, the members' heart are supposed to be expectant and hungering for it ;D). Not to boast, but yeah, the atmosphere was really really really good on both CGs. Thank You Lord for this gift! :D
Anyways on Thursday, the CG actually played a game like Truth or Dare, well, with a BIG twist. From Truth or Dare, we changed and modified it into Truth AND Truth, thanks to the brilliant mind of my 'PHD material cell leader', Ms. Sherene Lim (her motive was just to dig up as much secrets from me as possible...). Pretty awkward, but it was all good. I got my revenge in return too, but sadly, couldn't play much longer, for it was just taking up too much FUN!
On Friday, I actually LOST for the games session, and the punishment was that 3 of us (who lost) are supposed to re-enact the drama of "Little Red Riding Hood". It was so funny!! I was the Wolf, Hazel Saw was Little Red Riding Hood, and Kristy was the Grandma. Due to overflowing creativity everyone had, it became a more modern version of it.
A short promo of the drama -
The scene whereby the wolf was supposed to eat grandma -
Grandma: *ohhh* who are you...?
Wolf: *hurriedly rushes to Grandma's bed* Grandma, are you ok? How are you feeling right now? *full of sincerity and concern* *checks how Grandma is feeling*
Audiences : TOIINNNKKKK
Wolf: Where's your granddaughter? How come she's not taking care of you? How ungrateful is she! You are here suffering in pain, and she's somewhere out there SHOPPING!? Berani dia!
Little Red Riding Hood: .... woii!!! (backstage)
Grandma: Uh...
Wolf: It's ok, you just wait here, I'll buy for you some Panadol. Wait ah. 7 Eleven nearby only.
Audiences : TOIINNNKKKK

Malaysia, Truly I-Miss-Ya
*RAWRS LOUDLY in my heart*
Entering the church was....how do you put it... umm.. quite a nervous thing to do for me just now actually. I guess you could say I was really really shy to meet up with the people that I know...
*imagines people shouting and screaming --- OUIH!! KEVIN !! YOU'RE BACK!!!.. which indeed really happened after service..* Tell you more about it later :P
Therefore I sengaja entered the service 10 minutes before it started....Just a few steps into the hall and I was already greeted by a LOT of members. *sweats* Had to sheepishly smile and shake their hands :) Also, they usually asked "How long will you stay?" "When did you come back?" "Are you back for good?" *I really wish so right now but no, not yet*
Anyways these were some interesting situations I encountered just now before and after service...
Situation 1 - With Si Sial, Tai Loong
Kevin: Hey, Sial.
Tai Loong: Oi, wassup.
*both staring each other blankly..* *brief silence*
Tai Loong: OI SIAL!! HOW COME YOU ARE HERE MAN!?
Kevin: Aiya, I miss you too much man. That's why lah.
Tai Loong: Sorry man, didn't see you at all just now! Wah, good good good... eh futsal as usual k?
Kevin: Ok! :)
Situation 2 - The meeting with Pastor was really really funny.
Pastor rushes out from the hall with Keith Tay and a security guard..
Kevin: Hi, Pastor :)
Pastor Kevin: Hey Kev. *stunned for a moment* HEEEYYYY!!!!!
Situation 3 - With Roy Kee, when I just arrived (my ex-guitar student)
*Kevin sneakily enters the backdoor...but meets up with Roy that was heading towards the exit*
Kevin: Hey.. Hi :)
Roy: Hey...WAH!? YOU ARE HERE!? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MAN!? WHEN DID YOU COME BACK!!? ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC (sorry this part he asked too many questions already..can't remember what he said :P)
Kevin: *Tells him to chill and answered all his questions..*
Situation 4 - With various people from other CG's
W9 and W15 (Peter Lim's CGs)
Andrew Tham: Wah come back never tell me ah! Like that lah now! *punches Kevin hard*
Chee Meng: Wahh brother!! Gimme a hug man! *gives Kevin a hug*
Gibong and Cindy: Kevinn!!! You're back!! We miss you!! *Shakes hands with them*
Yee Seng: Hey man! Miss you lots man! *gives Kevin a hug*
Jee Kit: Hey broooooooooo *gives Kevin a hug*
Peter Lim: Wah bro. It's an honour to see you back man. *gets a firm, strong handshake :)*
E30 and E45
Ben Yaep: Hey! Ignoring me just now issit huh!? Kept calling your name, you never reply back! Good to have you back man :) Eh, come! Let's go supper later? Oh, and I want you to play the guitar for our CG next week! *thinks "wahh so fast?? i just came back and you asked me to play guitar for your CG already?"*
Sharon: Wahh Kevin!! Is that really you!? I couldn't believe it when they said, "Kevin Rimas is back!" Nice to see you bro! *yeah I'm back :)*
Gracella: Gwe rindu kau banget :) *uhh...why Indonesian?*
Tressilla: Hey, speak Tagalog to us!! *sorry still can't...*
Jireh: I KNEW IT! YOU HINTED ME THAT DAY SO MANY TIMES ALREADY BUT DIDNT KNOW THAT YOU WILL REALLY COME BACK!! *gets a bear hug from him....sakit..*
Annie: Now we can have the funny car session with you, Jireh and me again! Too bad Daniel's still quarantined back at his hometown Penang...
W11
Elaine Tan: Hey Kevin! You're really back! Wah!! I'm so so happy!! (Overwhelms with joy) Now we can have our Japanese buffet that you, me and Dennis have planned!
Kevin: hahaha :) Hi :) Yeah.. I can't wait :D
E17
Kevin: Wahhh you look so professional just now man! Very good team leader already ah! But, just now you saw me, you never even said hi. LIKE THAT LAH NOW! *Kevin pura-pura merajuk* Friends konon!
Dennis Wong: Very busy lah bro! So focused on moving people, squeezing them, etc etc, and seriously I didn't see you lah!
Kevin: *gives Dennis a kick*
S8
Nickey Teoh: Heng tai! Good to have you back! Book one date we go for our bonding session okay! Woah, you all wanna book him? Cannot! He's mine!! HAHAHA!
Kevin: =_= What??
Situation 5 - With Zoey Moo Meng Chyi
Zoey: Hey!
Kevin: *Bows* Hi :)
Zoey: *Bows* Nice to see you back!
Kevin: Haha yeah. Hey sorry. I didn't bring the souvenirs today. Tomorrow ok?
Zoey: No problem! Did you got my message?
Kevin: Uhmm..No...
Zoey: Oh, you were in the flight already by the time I send it to you lah..
Kevin: Uhh.. yeah.. but I did on my phone several times while on the plane lah (which is actually illegal)
Zoey: Oh ok ok, so you got it?
Kevin: Uhh.. No. Haha :)
Zoey: ahhh ok ok - suddenly goes over to somewhere in the hall
.... Zoey gets back
Zoey: So Sherene was quite shocked lah right?
Kevin: Yeahhh totally! Haha
Zoey: Hahaha...
---- conversation gets interrupted badly from all the people surrounding me, still asking me questions and stuffs like that..
SORRY ZOEY! I'm really swarmed by everyone back here! Couldn't even say goodbye properly to you! -_-
Anyways after all that, I followed Dennis who fetched Elaine Tan back to her house, and then we went to Canai Cafe (opposite Beans) for late dinner/supper. Met up with Ben, Jireh, Crystal, Amanda, Grace and her friend. After Ben and the rest of the girls went back home, me, Jireh and Dennis stayed and fellowship that lasted till 5.00am.. even right now I'm still fellowship-ping with Dennis at his house...(anyways Dennis just fell asleep already lah..). We shared so much stuffs, and also personal secrets together. I guess it was really really cool to say I've got to know these 2 brothers much better now!
Seriously...I really really love the people here. You are the reason why I'm still going strong in life :) *and the cause of my massive massive massive homesickness* :D
Pastor Pat... like what Pastor Kevin concluded.. you are just simply AWESOME. I was really really laughing like mad during the entire session of your message! *my chin and stomach still hurts due to it.. hehe* I'm gonna blog about what you shared during the altar call in the next post!
Ok ok. My eyes are very very tired already. Like seriously
Till then, I'll be rescheduling my AirAsia flight to June 8th!

To my dearest Sis...
So, here goes. A tribute to you, my dearest, cutest, shy and innocent one.
The day you were born, coming into this very world called 'Earth'.
Molded with love and care, from the very hands of the Maker.
A girl named "Kristine", - "The Follower of Christ" -
To me, you mean much more than that.
LOVE follows you, my beloved.
LOVE showers you with abundant grace and LOVE
LOVE cares for you as He has cared for me and our family all these years.
When you smile, the world smiles back at you,
A simple laugh from you would mean the best gift for me.
When you cry, the whole world cries with you,
Just a single drop of it, breaks even the toughest, hardened heart.
You are truly my angel indeed.
God-sent, a gift from heaven itself.
My sister, my beloved.
Happy 13th Birthday Sis. You rock my world indeed.

Woo..*whistles*. Church Music huh... interesting...
Well, for being so intrigued by it, I went to look further on its details -
7. CHURCH MUSIC
CM3 CHURCH MUSIC LEADERSHIP (1 hour)
Explores biblical and historical foundations of church music; provides an introduction to music theory; surveys ministerial involvement in the music program of the congregation; develops basic skills in directing, interpretation, service planning, use of the hymnal and other resources; examines the philosophy and roles of music in worship; and expects students to reflect on their own cultural and denominational contexts.
CM20 APPLIED MUSIC (1/2 hour)
Instructs beginning and intermediate piano. Includes music theory and keyboard skills. Emphasizes scales and transposing. Enhances the students’ ability to play in the church setting. (Prerequisite: Music Theory or another music course at undergraduate level.) (Must be taken two semesters for credit to be given.)
PIANO! Niceeee! Seriously, if I've got the chance, I do really wanna learn it :D ... but i need to take the prerequisite requirements first.. bummer..
CM30 APPLIED VOICE (1/2 hour)
Trains voice. (Prerequisite: Music Theory or another music course at undergraduate level.) (Must be taken two semesters for credit to be given.)
*Sings - LAaaaAaaaAaaaAaaaAaa ~ ~ * ... *looks around in amazement at all the shattered glass around me...* ... *wonders why it started to rain so heavily...a few seconds ago, it was still so hot and sunny.... *shrugs*
CM40 CHORAL PRACTICUM (1/2 hour)
Gathers students interested in choral singing, who will participate in chapel services and perform on other occasions. Develops skills in church music ministry. (Prerequisite: Music Theory, and permission of the instructor.)
CM89 HISTORY OF CHURCH MUSIC
Surveys the development of music in the church and its implications for worship. Begins with the music of the Old Testament and progresses through the early twentieth century and concludes with a study of the development of music in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.
The music of the Old Testament? Wow.. sometimes when I read Psalms, I wonder how the people use to sing their praises to God..
CM203 ADVANCED CHURCH MUSIC LEADERSHIP
Examines the music program of the church in all its facets. Focuses on the practical administration of music in the local church. Provides students with practical knowledge of the structure and operation of a church music program and with the tools necessary to organize and lead such a program. (Prerequisite: CM3 or equivalent.)
CM241 ETHNOMUSICOLOGY
Develops an understanding and appreciation of indigenous Asian and Pacific music, and focuses on how this music can be used to communicate the Christian message.
....
Looks like something that I surely would want to take up. Now I'm really really more excited to start my Bible Schooling here soon!
Anyways for some of you who knew what happened to me.. ummm.. I'm 100% fine now. :)
