Word Power....

I was superbly happy to know that I'm representing my cluster together with my co-intern Esther for the Word Power competition =) And the bigger achievement was that I emerged as the top scorer from the preliminary round! Esther was 2nd top scorer by the way, which would mean we (Local U) are going to be ones to beat during the Finals. Well, the finals would be on the 31st of October, and the church has just increased the prize stake from RM1000 cash to RM1500 PLUS a RM500 Culture Couture voucher!! MONEY $$$$$!! $_$

Wednesday...

Help painted the church building. Was initially not included in the list, as I was only scheduled to help out this Sunday, but due to the pleas of Mr. Jireh Tay, I went. (I'm not complaining here, seriously, it was FUN!)

After that, taught Victor guitar. He seems to be picking up quite well. Very proud of him :) Later on I also had a short session with Ivone Margaretha's younger bro (didn't know she had one!), and taught him some chords and some songs as well.

Soon after that, I went and bought materials for the F & B for the wedding this coming Saturday at Carrefour. I was assigned to be in charge of it (as usual). Honestly, I haven't got the chance to enter the church hall to witness the Holy Matrimony till now ... that's EIGHT in a row ever since I first served during Su Min & Evelyn's wedding.. *sighs* ... plus, this is wedding is very special since it's my very first cell leader in church wedding..

Upon returning to church to drop off the materials at the cafeteria, I was informed that I'll be watching a movie and that they already booked the tickets. Watched "The Perfect Gateaway". An awesome movie that makes you think and guess a lot. Really! Pretty last minute since I haven't got the chance to go back and bath + change.. what made it worst was the movie was scheduled at 11.55pm and I have classes early in the morning today. HAHAHA. Oh well, at least the movie was worth the money =)

Oh, on a random note.. yesterday there were 3 representatives from the VU cluster who called me up to ask whether I was joining any competitions this coming weekend (Sheyvin, the assistant cluster leader for VU was one of them...just imagine me telling her that I'm not under her cluster..scary wei..). I was a bit shocked though, since I thought I already registered myself as a LU candidate (and I'm already one of the advisors for the cluster itself.. weird right?). But after that, everything was ok. Can't wait for the upcoming competitions taking place soon! And Word Power!!! I'm memorizing till all my brain cells are all squeezed up. Excited I am... :)
