Jeremiah 29:11

Hi guys! Sorry I wasn't able to blog a lot recently. It's been really busy throughout this period of life right now, before, during and after Easter. Well not having an internet connection at home plays a factor too, but at least I still have my favourite spot for my Wi-Fi..hehe. Ok.. lemme just share a verse with you guys.

Well, I've always been a big fan of the verse - Jeremiah 29:11

Ever since I first gave my life to Christ, it has always been my life verse. Now let's look at this particular verse,

In NKJV -

'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.'

In NIV -

'For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

As you can see, both verses emphasizes on God's plans for giving us a future and a hope.. but the best is yet to come from the following version....

Gotta LOVE this the most!! In the Message Bible version-

'I'll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you *back home. I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.'

*BACK HOME!? Well, I do hope He will bring me back to Malaysia soon!!A.S.A.P!! hehehe...well.. that's not really what the verse meant lah :P

How awesome and meaningful it sounds! He shows up and takes care of us when we needed Him the most!

He has also promised us that he knows what He is doing. He has it all planned out, just so that He can gives us the future we have always HOPED FOR!!

For every season in my life, the content and the meaning of this verse has always changed for me. Every time this very verse has comforted me.. And with it, God has continually been so real in life, and I'm really really blessed by it.

And now, look. He has brought me here, not to harm me, but to prosper me. It was pretty funny when I actually complained (partly was because of being homesick..)to Him before one night during my devotion a couple of days before...

Kevin: I’m not being fruitful here, and I don't feel like I'm growing in my walk with You! Why bring me over here Lord? Why didn't you answered my prayer to stay in Malaysia? I've been doing so well there... Why did they have to reject my PR application!? .... Sorry Lord.. I really want to know why....I just wanna know why..

God : *smiles*

*I felt sudden joy overwhelming me, so I can basically sense that God is smiling over me with my silly questions...

And there I was sitting on my bed, suddenly being reminded of all the things I has/had been doing in the church that I’m attending right now...

1. I’m serving in the worship team now, not just as a guitarist, but also as one of the vocalists.

2. I helped Pastor Rick create a database of the both churches. Going to create a database for the Bright Light's Students soon.

3. I helped Pastor Rick to properly compile the list of contacts he has in his laptop, in his Microsoft Outlook. What took him more than 3 days to do (and it was still in a total mess.. hehe..), I did it in less than 3 hours.

4. I helped to make the brochure/bulletin for church. It was in a new format, including the San Buena church information as well. Their last edition? October 2004. And it was my very first time ever creating/making one, and also my first time using Microsoft Publisher.

5. I helped Pastor Noel to fix one of the PC’s in church, which was heavily infected with virus.

6. I helped Pastor Noel to fix his wife’s laptop. The funny twist was he actually sent it for repairs to some computer ‘experts’ but both of them told him they can’t fix it. ‘Experts’…yeah right.. I got treated with Italian food!! (Happy)

7. I helped lighten Pastor Rick’s burden by taking over his responsibilities to be in charge of the chorus board ministry at San Buena church, just so that he can spend more time with his family, especially on Sunday’s. It really means a lot for him :)

8. I volunteered to be an English teacher, teaching an extra English class for the students every Thursday, emphasizing on their conversational and comprehension skills.

9. I'm in charge of playing the guitar for San Buena’s annual church wide prayer meeting.

10.Recently I got elected for the position of Secretary (I garnered all the votes...landslide victory I must say) for the CACF'sYouth Ministry group.

11.I recently was elected by Pastora(female term for calling a female pastor in the Philippines) Thess for the position of 'Advisor', alongside Pastor Dodoy, for the San Buena Youth Group too.

His presence then filled me and my room after that... I just sat there and cried, thanking God for reminding me always, that He has always do things according to His will and timing. It's really true when they say that God knows what is best for you, and look at what He is doing in my life right now. Hearing the cries of my heart before coming here, to be able to serve Him more than before, He has continually open more ways and doors of opportunities for me to do things I have never imagine myself doing before.

Nearly everyday, I have been able to share with my close ones about the new events that are taking place in my life. Sometimes I simply baffled and astounded by the events itself!

Being a vocalist in the church? I've never prayed for that!? Youth Ministry Secretary? Do you think I have what it takes Lord, after already learning a lot of doing admin work from my CG leader? Fixing a laptop!? The best I did was to fix mine alone...which is in Vista, and not in XP!? How!? Youth Ministry Advisor? I've only been serving as the person in charge of the Chorus Board ministry here as well as playing guitar for them? Did you find me faithful? Have I gained their favor because of my faithfulness?

God indeed has been good in my life and I really wanna thank those listening and lending ears for giving me the chance to share it with them. Thank you all! It's been a great joy and blessing sharing it with you guys!

As I pray this prayer..

"As I lift my hands Father, let Your name be glorified. Anoint them, as You continually open more ways and doors of opportunities for me to serve. Anoint them, to help prosper others around me, being a great blessings to those above and under me. You have prospered me and blessed me indeed, and now let me do the same, as You have done so for me. Anoint my lips, to continually give You the sacrifice of praise that You truly are worthy to receive. Anoint them, to carry the Good Message about You, Jesus. To encourage and build up others, to speak words of Life and not of Death. Carry me, and be with me in times of joy and in times of trouble. I place my trust in You always."

And with all my heart I ROAR - "AMEN!"
